Peter has been in the entertainment industry since he was a child. At the age of 3, he hit his first drum set. While growing up, it wasn't uncommon to hear Motown, Country & Classic Rock in his home. Starting at the age of 12, Peter competed as a breakdancer and performed in many talent shows. In his time as a breakdancer, he developed a love for Hip-Hop and Freestyle music. At the age of 16, even though he enjoyed playing the drums and breakdancing, his passion for singing took over. As a lead vocalist for many bands in the 80s, Peter performed in front of thousands of people up and down the East Coast. His experience has definitely taught him how to read and gauge the crowd. Today, Peter is a Full-Time Emcee/DJ. He performs over 100 events per year (mostly weddings). He has a great passion and loves to create positive energy for your special day. He believes that it's your day to shine and he'll do everything he can to fulfill it, without taking the spotlight from you.

We were lucky enough to work with Peter Devine for our wedding. Throughout the entire lead up process Peter was amazing. He met with us prior to the wedding a few times to review our itinerary and go over the exact songs we wanted to use. He was always very open and honest about his style and approach which was very helpful. He also gave fantastic recommendations when we weren't sure what kind of song to use for a specific moment. He was so attentive and considerate the night of the wedding. He would always check in and make sure things were going ok and ask us/recommend small changes to our plan. He really did an amazing job reading the room and adjusting things to fit the mood/crowd as the night went on. Plus he had everyone out on the dance floor the entire time! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. I would 100% recommend him!

Going upon the recommendation of our wedding venue, we decided to utilize the services of After Hours DJ Entertainment for our wedding and reception musical needs. Our assigned DJ was Peter Devine. In our initial meeting with Peter, we happy to learn that he was a Justice of the Peace in Connecticut, and we retained him to officiate our service. That become one less detail we had to deal with. Through several meetings and numerous follow-up emails and texts, Peter put together a beautiful service that made us extremely happy. Afterward, he kept the reception moving right along, making for special moments for my bride and myself. Finally, he filled the dance floor and kept it full with a great mix of music, relying heavily on our own requests and his expertise in keeping the party moving. If I need a DJ again, it will be After Hours and Peter Devine.

Peter and JR were wonderful at our wedding! Peter and I talked multiple times leading up to the wedding day about how the day would proceed and the type of music we wanted to hear during each portion of the day. I made very different choices for wedding ceremony music and Peter and JR just went with my vision. The music flowed smoothly all day and night. I barely gave any direction for the reception music except that I wanted people to get up and dance all night. They kept the party going. I was super surprised when they played a song that my dad had incorporated to his speech after my dad's speech was finished. I also was even more surprised when they handed me a flash drive with videos and photographs that they took during the day and evening. They honestly did such a great job! I wish we could do it all over again. Thanks for making our wedding a wildly fun success!
